JP Morgan’s Jamie Dimon, who is famous for his anti-bitcoin rants during interviews — including one where he called BTC a “pet rock” — has changed his tune “a little bit,” Donald Trump, the former president, said in an interview with Bloomberg.
Trump is seen as this election’s pro-crypto candidate, despite calling cryptocurrencies while in office a “disaster waiting to happen.”
But, he, too, seemed to change his opinion on the currency.
“If we don’t do [crypto], China is going to pick it up and China’s going to have it. Or somebody else, but most likely China. China’s very much into it. Also, it’s not going away. It’s amazing,” he said.
Trump told Bloomberg that he had “a lot of respect for Jamie Dimon” and would consider him for the position of secretary of the Treasury.
